About Rubber Edge Trims

Rubber edge trim is a highly flexible trim made of either EPDM or dense neoprene rubber for edging applications. It has excellent wear and ozone resistance and fits most applications with a right radius.

Material Benefits: Neoprene vs. EPDM

Our rubber shapes are an ideal solution for your rubber extrusion and sealing needs—whether your application is automotive, marine or within another of our supported industries.

  • Neoprene edge trim: While both materials provide excellent wear, ozone resistance, and fit most tight-radius applications, neoprene edge trim resists oil and fuel better than EPDM, which makes it ideal for automotive applications.

  • EPDM rubber edge trim: Our custom-formulated EPDM sponge rubber protects against extreme weather, drowns out noise, and eliminates vibration.

Glue Options

Most rubber edge molding is available with an optional, pre-applied hot-melt adhesive or butyl adhesive. If your desired rubber edge molding does not have a hot-melt or butyl adhesive option online, please call us at 888-874-6565 to speak with our customer service team member.

Watch our video to learn more about the differences between hot-melt adhesive and butyl adhesive sealant for rubber edge trims.

Description

About Rubber Edge Trim

Rubber edge trim is a highly flexible trim made of either EPDM or dense neoprene rubber. Use it virtually anywhere for a decorative or protective edge, as necessary. While both materials provide excellent wear and ozone resistance and fit most tight radius applications, neoprene resists oil and fuel better than EPDM, which makes it ideal for automotive applications. Trim-Lok’s rubber edge trim is manufactured to grip difficult materials—such as sheet metal—compound curves, and other problematic surfaces.

Rubber Edge Trim Manufacturing and Installation

Our rubber edge trim and rubber trim molding come in various sizes and styles. We manufacture our rubber trims in the United States using high quality materials guaranteed to meet your expectations.

How to Install Your Rubber Edge Trim:

Follow these three steps to easily install your rubber edge trim:

  • • Measure and cut to desired length
  • • Push trim down to provide a strong grip on any exposed edge.
  • • Although adhesive isn’t required, we recommend using a hot melt adhesive or butyl adhesive sealant to keep the product in place.
