About This .375” D-Shaped Weatherstripping

This D-shaped rubber seal (available with BT 3M adhesive or HT standard pressure-sensitive adhesive), has a height of .218" and a width of .375". It provides the ultimate bond between the rubber and its substrate. Learn more about this D-shaped EPDM sponge rubber seal’s half-round shape, adhesive, specs, installation, and more below.

D-shaped round rubber seals can be used for weatherstripping to seal out:

  • • Air leaks
  • • Moisture
  • • Dirt and debris

These half-round sponge rubber seals also provide vibration reduction and some noise cancellation. They’re recommended for use between two substrates such as:

  • • Doors (house, garage, auto, RV, etc.)
  • • Car trunks
  • • Windows
  • • Hatches
  • • Electrical enclosures
  • Coolers
  • • And more

When used as a self-adhesive door seal, D-shaped EPDM sponge rubber seals can fill in gaps on doors and lids where the gap may vary in size. For optimal performance, remember to choose the D-shaped weatherstripping rubber seal of in the a size that will provide 25–-40% compression for your application.

3M adhesive bonded tape for D-shaped rubber seal3M™ BONDED TAPE SYSTEM
The BT option for your self-adhesive rubber seal provides the ultimate bond to the rubber and the ultimate bond to the substrate. With 3M, D-shaped rubber seals can create a moisture barrier and air-tight seal. With the highest peel and sheer resistance, it can be used under high loads of stress and force. It has low initial tack for easy re-positioning during installation and needs 72 hours of cure time to come to full bond strength. It is rated for good heat performance between -20°F to 158°F.
