About This Rubber Seal Strip

This D-shaped EPDM sponge rubber seal has a height of .360" and a width of .610". It can be used in weatherstripping for air leaks, moisture, and dirt and debris—in addition to the vibration reduction and some noise cancellation of D-shaped rubber seals.

D-Shaped Rubber Seal Applications

We recommend using EPDM D-shaped rubber seals on doors, car trunks, windows, hatches, electrical enclosures, coolers, and more. The series you choose should depend on the size of your substrate and gap. Ideally, your half-round rubber seal should provide 25-40% compression.

3M™ BONDED TAPE SYSTEM
The ultimate bond to the rubber and the ultimate bond to the substrate. Creates a moisture barrier and air tight seal between rubber and substrate. Highest peel and shear resistance, can be used under high loads of stress and force. Has low initial tack for easy repositioning during installation and needs 72 hours of cure time to come to full bond strength. Good heat performance -20F to +158F

3M™ Heat-Activated Acrylic Foam and Acrylic Plus Tape
